It was a pleasant day in the Kanto region. The sun was shining, few clouds were in the sky, and the cheerful calls of bird Pokémon filled the air. It was the kind of day that should be spent relaxing, and that’s just was Chris was doing.
Chris was a thirteen year-old boy. His black hair was short and neat, and his brown eyes always had a kind of cheery warmth in them. Chris had become a Pokémon trainer and left Saffron City on his eleventh birthday, which was just a bit more than two years ago. He was hoping to be able to catch every type Pokémon in the Kanto region, and eventually to be able to explore the Hoenn region.
So far, Chris had caught at least five dozen different Pokémon, all of which he traded out routinely. However, although he cared for all of his Pokémon, there was one he loved so much that he never even considered giving it away. It was a Nidoking, which he had had since he was a little boy. Chris had gotten his Nidoking, at the time only a young Nidoran, as a Christmas present, and they had been together ever since.
“We haven’t seen a nice day like this in a long time, have we, Nidoking?” Chris asked as the two lied under a tree.
“Nido,” Nidoking replied.
The two experienced a fairly lazy day. They had only walked for a little bit to get into a clearer part of the forest, and they decided to spend the rest of the day relaxing.
“King,” Nidoking muttered quietly to himself.
Chris overheard Nidoking muttering, and couldn’t help but be worried at the tone. “Nidoking,” he said, “I couldn’t help but notice you’ve been acting more depressed these past few weeks. Is something wrong?”
There is something wrong, Nidoking thought to himself, but I can’t tell you. You wouldn’t be able to understand me, anyways. Nidoking just nodded.
“Oh, man,” Chris said. “I wish I could understand you. Then I might be able to help you out.”
I doubt it, Nidoking thought. You see, Nidoking was getting older, and he had urges. Urges to find a mate and have a family. He was depressed because Chris had never caught any female species of the Nido family, nor did he ever seem to plan to. Not only that, but even in the rare chance they did come across a possible mate, if Chris didn’t want to catch her, Nidoking didn’t think he would be able to part with Chris.

A few hours later, the sun had set, and Chris and Nidoking were finishing setting up camp. Chris was just about ready to turn in for the day.
“Hey, Nidoking,” he asked, “would you like to sleep outside your ball tonight?”
“King!” Nidoking replied while nodding his head happily. Chris smiled. He always enjoyed Nidoking’s company at night.
Chris was just unrolling his sleeping bag when he looked up and gasped. “Nidoking!” he cried while pointing to the sky. “Look!”
Nidoking glazed up to where Chris was pointing. Streaking across the sky was a shooting star, its tail shining as it went. “You know what they say, Nidoking,” Chris said. “If you see a shooting star, you can make a wish.”
“Nido?” Nidoking asked.
“Ya, rly!” Chris responded. “Of course, it’s just a legend, but there’s no harm trying, is there?” Chris looked at the star and thought, I wish I was able to help Nidoking in any was possible.
Nidoking was still doubtful the star could really grant wishes, but he gave it a shot anyways. He stared at the star and thought with all his might, I wish I could have a mate without leaving Chris.
Unfortunately, you should be careful what you wish for.

Chris woke up the next morning. He felt very refreshed and energetic, although a bit itchy. He decided to walk over to the nearby stream to wash himself.
However, once Chris got to the stream, he took one glance at his arm and was overcome with shock. A light blue pigment was starting to spread over it! A look at his other arm and he saw even more pigmentation spreading. He quickly glanced at his reflection in the stream, and even saw a little bit on his face!
Chris let out a scream, which woke Nidoking up. What was that? he thought to himself. When he heard the scream again, his eyes widened. Oh no, Chris! Nidoking hurried as fast as he could towards his trainer’s voice.
Chris couldn’t believe what was happening to him. He hadn’t done anything wrong, or touched anything bad, or eaten anything inedible, yet his skin was still turning a pale blue. Not only that, but it was slowly spreading across his body.
Nidoking emerged into the area, looking for Chris. He caught sight of him next to the stream and was about to walk toward him, when he noticed Chris’ skin. Nidoking instantly froze with shock.
Chris glanced up and saw Nidoking staring at him. “Nidoking,” Chris started to say, but before he could continue, he doubled over on the ground in pain. Chris could barely think because of the pain, but he managed to take another glance at his arms. They had been completely covered with the blue pigment, and they were starting to gain muscle and bulge out. As they did, his fingers fused and became incredibly stubby, and claws grew in their place.
“Oh God,” Chris muttered to himself as he examined his new arms. “What’s happening to me?”
“I don’t know,” said a voice Chris never heard before.
He glanced up and looked around, but all that was nearby was his Nidoking. “Who said that?” Chris asked.
“Who said what?” the same voice said, but Chris saw it clearly; it came from Nidoking’s mouth.
Chris stared at Nidoking, his eyes as wide as dinner plates. “Oh my God,” said Chris. “I understood you!”
Now Nidoking looked even more shocked. “WHAT? How is that possible?” he asked.
“I don’t know,” Chris said, and he suddenly fell to the ground in pain again. As he tried his best to resist the pain, he felt something trying to push out of his rear. Chris yelled out as a tail burst from his back side, mostly the same pale-blue colour most of Chris’ body was covered with, but also cream-coloured on the underside.
When Chris stared at his new tail, realization suddenly dawned upon him, about what was happening to him. He was turning into a Pokémon. It was the only explanation for him being able to understand Nidoking. How the transformation started, he wasn’t sure, but Chris knew it was too late to do anything about it.
Chris sighed as he continued changing. At least now, the pain wasn’t as severe. He looked at his legs and watched as they bulged and became thicker, much like his arms did. His toes retracted into his body, and three claws grew in their place.
As spines started to grow up Chris’ tail and back, he realized something else, something that was almost too horrible to think about. There was only one Pokémon he knew that was pale blue and had thick limbs. Chris stared at Nidoking with a look of horror on his face.
“What is it?” Nidoking asked.
“I-I-I…” Chris stuttered, “I’m becoming a Nidoqueen.” Chris felt like he was dying on the inside. It was bad enough that he was becoming a Pokémon, but Nidoqueen was female! He didn’t want to be a girl!
Nidoking was completely overwhelmed by everything that was happening. On one hand, he was glad that, technically, his wish was coming true, but this? He didn’t want Chris to be his mate! Chris had always been a friend to Nidoking: he cared for him, they spent most of their lives together, but this was a little over the top!
Chris soon confirmed that his prediction was correct. He felt a burning sensation in his groin, which made him scream out in terror and pain. He tried grabbing there, but nothing left, other than the underside of his tail. Chris could feel his reproductive system changing, and it was not something he ever wished to experience.
Chris’ torso started to bulge out, giving him a fat appearance. By now, his entire skin had turned blue, and two cream-coloured plates covered the spots where his nipples used to be. This left just one thing, and Chris wasn’t looking forward to it.
Chris closed his eyes as his face started changing. He tried resisting, but nothing worked. His head grew larger, and he felt his face push into muzzle. His hair fell out of his head, his ears grew bigger, and a horn emerged in the middle of his forehead.
The transformation was complete. Chris was now a Nidoqueen.

Chris opened her eyes. She was amazed by how much her sight and hearing had improved, but she still had a feeling of dread; she had lost her humanity and masculinity, possibly permanently. Chris shuddered; if this was permanent, she wouldn’t even be able to return to her family again. She sat down and stared at the ground, emotionless.
Nidoking ran over to Chris. “Chris, are you alright?” Nidoking asked.
“I… I don’t know,” Chris responded without looking. She didn’t seem to notice that she was now speaking the Pokémon language. “I just don’t know.” Chris suddenly burst into tears. “Why?” she asked. “Why did this happen to me?”
Nidoking didn’t know what to say. Chris was a Nidoqueen now, and Nidoking was sure that he was responsible. But if he told Chris the truth, she might never forgive him, and that was not something Nidoking wanted.
Eventually, Nidoking decided it was the right thing to do. “Chris,” he said softly, “I think it’s my fault.”
Chris stopped crying and looked up at Nidoking, eyes wide. “What?” she said with disbelief and shock in her voice. “Why would you do this? Why would you take away my humanity?”
“I didn’t mean to!” Nidoking responded. “It’s just… you remember last night? You pointed out the shooting star to me, and said I could make a wish. I… I really wanted a mate, so I wished I could have one without having to leave you. I didn’t mean for this to happen! I swear it! But it’s still my fault. I… I’m sorry.”
Chris was completely stunned. Nidoking had wanted a mate the whole time? She was glad that Nidoking never meant for her to become a Nidoqueen, but she was amazed that his wish had actually been granted. But why did it twist it and make Chris his mate?
Realization suddenly hit Chris again. “Oh, Nidoking,” she said, “I forgive you for this. It was my fault, too.”
“What?” Nidoking asked. “Why would it be your fault?”
“I made a wish on that star, too,” Chris responded. “I wished that I was able to help you, no matter what.” She bowed her head down. “It was just my stupidity. I shouldn’t have even mentioned that star.”
Nidoking was entirely relieved that Chris wasn’t angry with him, but he still hated to see her so depressed. Nidoking, while trying to think of something to say, looked at Chris, and couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she was. “Well, Chris,” Nidoking said, “if you think about it, there might be a way that this isn’t so bad.”
Chris pondered at these words from Nidoking. Yes, she had lost her humanity and all plans for the future, but she still felt more powerful then she ever had before. Besides, she thought, even if I managed to do everything I wanted, would I really be able to handle the stress? Chris looked back up at Nidoking. As she did, she instantly noticed how handsome he looked, and she imagined the feeling of being against him.
Chris shook her head. Wait a second, she thought. Am I… actually attracted to Nidoking? That’s not right! The more she looked at him, though, the more her thoughts were contradicted. It did seem right to imagine such things. Maybe I truly am a Nidoqueen, Chris thought. I seem to even be thinking like one.
Chris stood back up and looked Nidoking in his eyes. “Maybe you’re right,” she said to him. She suddenly felt even odder than she already did. “Uh, Nidoking? Could you do me a favour?” she asked.
“Of course. What do you want, Chris?” Nidoking inquired.
“That’s just it,” she responded. “Please, don’t call me Chris anymore. I… I just don’t feel comfortable with that name.”
Nidoking was fairly surprised at Chris’ comment. Was she actually getting used to her new form? Nidoking smiled, however, and said, “Have it your way. But what should your name be?” The two pondered for a while, before Nidoking suggested, “How about… Crystal?”
The Nidoqueen considered the name. Crystal… she thought. “I… I like it,” she responded with a smile.
The two smiled at each other, until eventually, Nidoking interrupted the silence. “Crystal,” he said, “I have something I want to tell you.”
“What?” Crystal inquired.
“I… I think I love you,” Nidoking stammered.
Crystal played those words in her head over and over. A few minutes ago, she wouldn’t ever consider anyone besides her parents saying those words to her, let alone Nidoking. Now, however, she was happy.
“I love you too,” Crystal responded, surprised by how easily the words came out of her mouth. She and Nidoking moved together and embraced each other.

As the two continued their embrace, Nidoking said, “Crystal, you’re really okay with this?”
Crystal looked up at Nidoking while still holding him. “I am,” she answered. “It’s kind of had to explain. You see, when I looked at you, my mind told me that you were the perfect mate for me. I think I’m not just in the body of a Nidoqueen, I’m thinking like one, as well. Nidoking, I really do love you.”
Nidoking smiled at Crystal. But suddenly, Crystal’s smile became a frown. “Oh no,” she said. “I just remembered something. What will we do with the other Pokémon, and what about my family?”
That made Nidoking unsure of the whole thing. He tried to think of a way around this, any way. Then he had an idea. “What about Professor Oak? He seems nice enough, and you know that he takes care of all your Pokémon.”
Crystal frowned again. “I’m not sure,” she said. “I mean, he wouldn’t even recognize me anymore.” Then she got an idea as well. “Wait, we could just drop the balls of with a note.”
“See?” said Nidoking. “Things can work out! But your family…”
Crystal sighed. “I have no idea about them,” she said sadly. “I love my family, but there’s no way I’d be able to tell them any of this.” Then she thought silently. “Maybe… we could just send them a note, not telling them everything, but just to let them know I’m still alive and never expect to see me again.”
Nidoking couldn’t believe Crystal’s words. “Crystal,” he said, “are you really willing to give up everything, even your family, to be with me?”
Crystal just smiled and nodded.
“You really do love me!” Nidoking exclaimed.
Crystal giggled. “Of course I do!” she responded.
The two new lovers looked over at the camp. “What should we do with it?” asked Nidoking.”
“Just take the Pokéballs, some paper and a pack,” Crystal answered. “We don’t need anything else. Leave the rest here.”
Nidoking nodded, and the two packed up everything they needed. They then took one last look at the camp, and walked away.
EDIT: Holy, shit, I've never gotten this many views and favourites in two days! Not even on my Chuck Norris card!

This is the first time I've ever uploaded a non-serial tf story. I was really trying to determine if this was such a good idea, but I decided it was worth the risk.

Yes, I am 15 and I like Pokémon. Stop making fun of me.

I actually came to writing this story because, although I see quite a few Pokémon tfs online, I haven't seen a single Nido family tf. So I wrote this. If you don't like the TG, too bad.

Pokémon is (c) Nintendo.

If you want to know how to make that é, PM me.

Pretty good. If you wanted i can think of two people that could draw pictures of this for you. One is AnimeWaterDragon and the other is AkuOreo. bolth are really good artists, and i am pretty sure they wouldn't mind if you asked them nicly.
TalkingStick Featured By Owner Sep 22, 2008
I know who AkuOreo is, and I'm sure she wouldn't agree; she only takes commisions, as far as I know.

As for the other, never heard of them. I may check them out.
singstar10 Featured By Owner Sep 22, 2008
Okay. I just thought you'd like to know that i knew a few people. Sorry about AkuOreo, I didn't know. never asked her to do anything i just check her page regulary for updates. If the other one won't do it i will look for someone who might.

P.S. Mabey AkuOreo would do it for a really amazing art trade that would make her do back flips when she saw it.
singstar10 Featured By Owner Sep 22, 2008
just so you know i think AnimeWaterDragon will do it. A.K.A. i might have bribed her a little with a pic of her favorite pokemon

I saw you comment on her page (although I'm not sure if it was about me), and it doesn't seem like that's on anymore. I would like a pic of something of mine, but I don't want anyone to have to go to the trouble.

Wait, now that you mention it, I do remember her most recent post saying that she wouldn't mind doing it if it was one page and it wasn't coloured or anything.

BTW, did you at least show her this story?

yes i posted it in a message i put on her page.

First off I liked it, it was a good read. Didn't think you'd be using the Nido's though :XD:

The only thing that seemed a little off was how fast Chris was able to drop everything from his old life, it seems like it would be a little harder to accept being put in that situation.
TalkingStick Featured By Owner Aug 25, 2008
I used the Nidos because I noticed that they've never been used.

And you're right, the ending does feel kind of rushed to me.
MarioDS01 Featured By Owner Aug 25, 2008
That was a weird story there. Personally I wished Chris would of transformed to a Nidoqueen Pokemorph(A pokemon who is sort of half human with human features) and me able to speak both Pokemon and the human language then just transform to a normal Nidoqueen and can only speak the Pokemon language.

I think that it is sad that Chris would lose everything, even his now her family. If she was a beautiful Pokemorph, she could still become a Pokemon Master and explain the situation to Professor Oak and her family. And maybe there could be a way to have Nidoking become a Pokemorph as well.

These are just suggestions to either rewrite the story so it's not so depressing, or too fast on the romance. Or you can make a sequel that both Crystal and Nidoking become Pokemorphs or Crystal could be human again, but still female and Nidoking can become a Pokemorph.
TalkingStick Featured By Owner Aug 25, 2008
Although you have several valid points, there is something I much mention. I, honestly, want nothing to do with Pokémorphs. I just don't like them.
Aegis27 Featured By Owner Jan 10, 2010
amen, i dont like anthros in general, and I don't no why eigher
MarioDS01 Featured By Owner Aug 26, 2008
I see... Any reason you don't like Pokemorphs? If you want to, you can answer the question by senting me a note.
TalkingStick Featured By Owner Aug 26, 2008
Hmm... nope. Just don't like them

Or maybe it's because I usually don't like anthros in general. There are a couple of exceptions to this, but not many.
mastapikmin Featured By Owner Aug 26, 2008
i dont like pokemorphs either. but this is very good
